The Chefs

Hillary Smith (hillaryrosemary) graduated from Colby College in 2008 and now works in marketing at Condé Nast. She enjoys reading, running, and cooking heavy three-course meals. She currently resides in lower Manhattan with a massive Maine Coon cat named Santa.

Amy Samuel (amyreneesam) graduated from Connecticut College in 2007 and in March 2012 received her Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts from The French Culinary Institute.  She currently resides just uptown from Hillary with her sweetheart and too many kitchen utensils.  Amy enjoys working at the French Seafood Mecca, Le Bernardin, anything lemon flavored and exploring the city by bicycle.

Amy and Hillary met in 2008 while working at Condé Nast, and formed a bond over one of life’s greatest pleasures – food.
