Deep Dish Mushroom Pizza: Revisited!

I’ve been dying to make this Deep Dish Mushroom Pizza for soooo long… so last night I finally made it happen.

Amy’s instructions were perfect, I followed them to a T. I did make the crust myself though… (sorry to one-up you the day before your BIRTHDAY Amy !!) using this quick and easy recipe from King Arthur Flour — you can make the pizza dough up to two days ahead of time or make it to use right away.

    This might be the perfect solution for my Friday dinner dilemma. What more divine pairing is there than Mushrooms and Pizza??? I usually make my own dough as well, because it is such a quick fix. To liven thing up though, I always add basil (or you could use some rosemary since the recipe for the topping includes rosemary) and grated cheese, as well as dried minced garlic and minced onions to the dough. Thanks for “revisiting” this dish.
