We’ve all been eating a little too much rich food this holiday season, so we’re going to help get you back into your skinny jeans with a little New Year’s cleanse. We’re giving you three days worth of healthy, satisfying, and nutrient-rich meals from January 2nd-4th to propel you into 2013 and set you up for success.
If you want to follow along, hit the grocery store with the shopping list below and stock up on the good stuff. We’ll be sending over some delicious and filling soup recipes to make ahead tomorrow!
Fruits & Veggies:
2 heads garlic
2 large yellow onions
1lb carrots
1 large parsnip
1/2 head cabbage
1 bunch kale
1 bunch parsley
1 bunch cilantro
A few handfuls baby spinach
2 avocados
6 lemons
1 grapefruit
1 pt blueberries
Dry/Canned Goods:
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 can white beans
10 cups vegetable stock
Grains:
1lb quinoa
Whole wheat bread – you’ll only need a few slices so a small loaf is great! You can freeze the rest for later
Milk/Juice:
1/2 gallon (or 2 32oz boxes) almond milk
1 pint pineapple juice
1 pint natural apple juice
Herbs/Spices:
Herbs de provence
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Ginger (fresh is better but you can use dry!)
Cayenne pepper
Red chili flakes
Sweets:
Honey
Maple syrup or agave
Household Staples:
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
